How condescending can you be?

How often have or are people condescending towards you? And what is your typical reaction when it happens?

I can definitely be condescending when it comes to American politics. We’re in a place where you need to either be a blithering idiot or a truly detestable person to support our current leadership. And I’m not going to pull that punch one bit. These are morons without a shred of actual moral decency who believe the most obvious propaganda lies I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t even believe it to be possible if I weren’t witnessing it. These will never be people I consider fellow countrymen, and I’ve kind of just washed my hands of them. It’s not even worth arguing with them because they’re so departed from actual truth and reality that I just couldn’t possibly respond to them anymore. If that makes me condescending, then I’ll wear that label with the utmost pride.

I grew up with that

as someone that was bit too smart a bit too early, I would often, one way or another end up in situation in why my questioning or my expression on some things... would be a problem for older people

most people though, were fascinated, amused or entertained by it so there was no issue, but some of them... for whatever reason, they could not stand it, lol

if I already knew or understood something, sometimes I knew better or different... or I asked why and how, instead of just accepting things because they say so... would trigger this people, and their reaction was that... to be condescending towards me

I would find this puzzling, at first... but then I realized that's just how it goes sometimes, and learned that it is pretty much futile... to get into it, and so I found the many ways to, let's say defuse these kind of situations

nowadays, I find it hilarious and amusing, if it ever happens... unless they're someone I know and they know me well, and I appreciate them, because then, I don't like it that much

and there might be friction about it, lol

I experienced this too when I was younger but now as an adult I just let run off me like slippery water and I just don't entertain the condescending person.

I try not to be condescending as condescending people are the most annoying type of people to deal with. It's like at that point it would just be better if you insulted me and called me names directly because you wanna do it anyway instead of just being passive-aggressive.

Oh I can be brutally condescending instantly when some blowhard asshole deserves it. But, I generally don't do that to people who simply don't understand something because it's outside their field of expertise, experience, or capacity to understand. There's no point in humiliating or punishing someone for things beyond their control. Assholes on the other hand are fair game at all times for any reason or no reason at all.

Zero. I've been taught to threat people below me very kindly as long as they don't come with invectives or behave impertinent. Because it shows you class if you treat people who are obviously below you better than people above you.

When someone is being condescending towards me, my natural reaction is to shut it down and get away from the person.

I might explain later to them that they were disrespecting me and that doesn't work for me.

I can be extremely sarcastic and condescending toward people, and that's something I really have to keep an eye on to make sure I don't actually do it. A major flaw of mine.
