Yes possible. Attraction is made up by imagination and relationship is following the script. It's like a reading a book. Robot can be programmed to follow the script and it can make it to look anyone in your imagination.

Already, some people do. However, the current love dolls are extremely limited. Robots are single-purpose, which they may do very well. However, humans or even dogs, they are not multi-purpose. They can't walk, talk, initiate sex, make a sandwich, and clean the house.

However, if Moore's Law holds up, in thirty years, they will be one million times more advanced and capable. They will be able to do anything humans do and can easily appear to be human. Men, especially, will buy and fall in love with their beautiful love dolls. Not only will they cook, shop, and clean the house, but the man can say, "Get dressed, I am taking you out for dinner and dancing," and his friends and associates will believe he lucked out and found a beautiful and classy girlfriend.

I expect AI robots will mimic real people as well as some guy or gal in a foreign country imitates or uses the words and phrases of someone who love them to fool people into giving them money or such.

Some people are desperate for validation and companionship and this is the best they can do for a host of reasons. NOt healthy, but it happens.

I think it’s possible to develop very real feelings for a robot or AI partner, even though the robot itself may not experience love the way a human does. If something consistently listens to you, understands your personality, comforts you, and makes you feel seen, your emotions can become genuine. But I’d still question whether that’s the same as being loved back, because a real relationship involves two people with their own feelings, choices, and experiences.

We are capable of loving our pets. So I don't see why we might not love an AI partner even to the point of calling them from work and looking forward to getting home and being with them. Most people get a buzz at being greeted at the door by the cat or dog.
