40% of all of Ohio's exports and 60% of all Michigan's exports go to Canada. Nobody wins a trade war. The best Canada can do is disrupt swing states and influence elections.

Other than energy and some integrated North American auto manufacturing where auto parts cross the border multiple times, Canada doesn't export a lot to the US. Canada can replace Ford and GM with Honda and Toyota expansion. Energy is by far and away our largest export.
