Why are Republicans afraid of voting?

Republicans are doing absolutely everything they can to people from voting. Why is this?

Please don't bother posting any lies about election fraud. There essentially is no election fraud, and unless you can prove that there is, don't bother using this cowardly false excuse

They know they are going to get washed out. So they hope to reduce voting so that the losses are only in hundreds rather than thousands.

They also believe not without reason that when voting is suppressed Democratic voters are differentially eliminated. I think they believe this based on some research studies but I'm not sure about this. I think it is true that older people and people of color tend to be differentially eliminated by voter suppression. Again, I'm not certain of this and I've not done the research.

Of course Republicans will tell you that they do it because illegal aliens vote and This is what sways up elections. This is of course bullshit.

Because the operative term is "supposedly". You have no proof of that or anything else, and neither do the Republicans. If they did, they would be shouting it from the rooftops, but they're not. Instead, they're just alleging it exactly like you are. It's bullshit.

Republicans have good reason to fear people voting because, for the most part, they don't vote for Republicans. Certainly not now after Trump's antics.

No as usual. You have everything reversed. It is the Republicans who do not want people to vote and the reason is according to them because there's too much election fraud. That is a lie. There has been no significant election fraud in the United States ever. Republicans don't want people to vote because they're worried that people will not vote for their candidates and they should be worried, particularly right now given Trump's behavior. Even now as I write this to you, Republicans are in Court trying desperately to eliminate mail voting for that same reason that they do not want people to vote at all. Mail in ballots are easy to fake, because you cannot prove who filled them out. the Republicans have a good point. I don't understand why Dummycrats want people to vote who can't even identify themselves with a photo identification. Photo id has been required in Louisiana for my entire life.

Nobody actually does this with mail-in ballots. Just because something's possible doesn't mean it's probable. Louisiana is not a very good recommendation for much of anything except a great place to leave.

Man, whatever. Just recently, a local concrete contractor was found to be here illegally from Honduras, and he had no documentation of who he was and no license and no insurance to be a concrete contractor. He eventually got deported back to Honduras.

It's important to realize many illegal immigrants become illegal contractors in the construction industry, and they illegally under-bid licensed contractors and then do a piss-poor job on the pour of the concrete, etc, and ruin people's home or business, etc.

You democrats keep insisting that these CRIMINALS should not only be here, but be given the right to vote. It's preposterous.

Yes, well, I don't think so. I think it's a fundamental disagreement over voter preference versus the veracity of allegations of election fraud. There has never been an election in the United States that was influenced in any significant fashion by any sort of election fraud. The actual instances of election fraud are so small it would be laughable, and yet that is what the Republican Party points to when we ask them about why it is that they need such heavy election security. The truth of the matter is that what passes for election security is actually a series of attempts to suppress voting because the Republican Party realizes that, left to their own devices, voters will overwhelmingly select Democratic platforms because those of Republicans are so oppressive and so anti-constitutional as to not be worth voting for. Instead of going to all of these extremes, Republicans should consider some policy changes that might make their policies more palatable.

There is absolutely no valid reason to increase election security to any point past what it is now. There have been never been any significant violations of election security in the United States. The whole argument for increased election, security is really a need for a particular party to have decreased voting in order to increase the probability of its candidates being elected that has nothing to do with election security in the election. Security argument is just a ruse and an excuse to limit voting as much as possible. Nobody's buying that argument anymore
