Does she receive Social Security? Medicare will automatically kick in when she turns 65. At that point, she just has to buy a supplemental policy (D plan) that covers drugs. You have to get a D plan or the price goes up every year you don't have it once you become eligible for Medicare.
Then get something like an 'N' plan that covers whatever Medicare doesn't. 'N' is a good supplement that covers everything except the annual Medicare deductible. You can go to any doctor or hospital for anything except dental.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, I believe she can already get Medicare at 65. Just checked, and she definitely can get Medicare. That is far better than any other kind of insurance she can get. Warn her to absolutely, under no circumstances, no matter how tempted she is, not to get Medicare Advantage.
