Probably, it's a common pattern with big sporting events like fifa or Olympics and there's usually a summer spike anyway because there's more tourists and even the locals venture out more. Usually they're low paid part time jobs and politicians praise themselves as job creators despite having not actually done anything. The boom never lasts.

You've also got to understand politician maths. If you lose 100 well paid skilled jobs in town A and gain 200 part time lowpaid jobs in town B 500 miles away then they've doubled the amount of jobs and we should all be happy.
