I'm half and half on the matter. I like darker evenings. I hate driving at night. And I get off sometimes at 6 which means I would be driving in the dark in the winter.

I'm in favor of staying in the changed one, but I don't remember which one that is. Honestly, it doesn't really matter, but pick one, and stay with it. I'll say stay on the Winter one, because Hawaii should only be back 2 hours from me, not 3. And I think in winter, CA and AZ have the same time. So yeah, let's keep THAT one

I'm for leaving things as they are... Spring ahead, Fall back.

I worked in the computer industry, and I know that it will cost trillions of dollars to change all the computer systems and other electronic systems (smartphone, for example) to stop changing the time in Spring and Fall.

That money would be better spent changing the US to completely be on the metric system, like the rest of the world.

@Pterodon That's not completely true. Many industries use the metric system in the US. Medicines are dispensed in cubit centimeters. Most bolts in US made vehicles are in metric, 10mm bolts are most common. Analog vehicle speedometers show both miles per hour and kilometers per hour, while digital speedometers and odometers have a user-selectable option to use either miles or kilometers.

I HATE the semi-annual time changes. Just pick a time and stick to it. Let the seasons determine the natural rising and setting of the sun.
I'm okay with permanent DST. Better that than getting dark at 5:00 pm.

We had an energy crisis in the 70s and we had daylight savings time all year round. I do not think it saved much electricity and there was a danger to little kids waiting for the school bus when it was dark out.

I don't want to ever change the clocks ever again. If that means we keep daylight savings time all year long or never use it again, that is fine with me. Pick one and stick with it is all I want.

I'm for setting one standard of time, adjusted for zone anyway, and sticking with it year-round. It makes no sense to reset clocks twice per year.
