It's a Happiness map, reportedly showing how happy the people in each state are, ranked from 1 to 50.
I can understand Hawaii being #1, and West Virginia being #50, but how is New Jersey ranked as #2? I've lived there. It's crowded, expensive, heavily polluted, and traffic is ridiculous.

Those low numbers in calif. N. y. can't be few people. It is for "most" bitter and frustrated. ny is same as calif 9. -near bitter edge of the scale at 1 most bitter.
