i used to think russia was strong in many ways.

1, Manufacturing by Country in 2026: Output Rankings: russia not in top ten.

u. s. has $2.5T is less than china if you trust china government. next japan and germany 800B. as expected 1/3 of u. s. but russia not even top ten.

gdp we $31T more than 10x russia 2.6T. just half of german gdp.

in processed oil -russia started importing from india. also ban export of diesel. LOST being an oil giant. ban export jet fuel and petrol it doesn't have *enuf for army. so no export. and shortages and rationing.

in army it counted old tanks! thousands but old from 1980 or older Even 1960s. its super weapons including t90 were powerless and lost in kharkiv. it used to be respected until it exposed how weak it is.

probably as 'strong' as romania. sounds about right?

its kids are dying. 2019 had 4.6 mn. boys age 5-9 should be age 10-14 in 2024 but just 3.3 mn. so much for socialist health care. socialized medicine.

at army age i wanted to compare millions less men than women- assuming most births usually male including in russia! most births male. but boys die as above so less men even before war in 2022.

a different comparison: army age.

in 2024 age 25-29 2.7mn from same group in 2019 had 9.3mn age 20-24. lost 6.6 mn. mostly killed by ukraine. probably at war they were not allowed to leave.

similarly age 20-24 2.9 mn from same people 6.3mn. in 2019, five years before! lost 3.4 mn. gasp. and few kids now 15 to replace millions lost so -cant fill the pre war jobs -and soldier spots -boys die as above so-

economy will shrink! weakness. army will shrink -weakness.

Yeah, they are working with China and India both on that list with their BRICS currency to over throw the US dollar. You'd be foolish not to respect them as a major economic threat.

We (Australia) do near zero trade with Russia. Nothing to buy really.
