Trust and love are a must, always.
I agree, but with a bit of responsibility, we can't demand too much, otherwise we'll scare too many people away.
the same things I started with...
All of the above. You decide how much each factor matters.
Don't you have your own opinions?
Yes but they are specific to my situation. Money is irrelevant to me. Love and trust are intertwined. Intellectual and moral alignment for me are flexible and situational.
That makes sense. I actually agree that love and trust are hard to separate—once trust is gone, love can start to feel very different. And if money isn’t a factor for you, I’m curious: what makes you feel that someone is truly worth building a life with? Is it the way they communicate, their character, how they handle difficult situations, or something else?
Yes, you've touched the core of it. It's who they are as a person. How we align. Intellectually, morally, sexually, accountability. introspective thought.
Person can be very smart and successful, but if they cannot recognize their mistakes and are unwilling to take responsibility for their actions, a relationship will become extremely exhausting. For me, emotional maturity and the ability to communicate honestly are also very important.
Yup. The capacity for growth. Change. Looking in the metaphorical mirror and having an honest conversation with yourself. Constant curiosity. Accepting that we don't have all the answers. And being at peace with that reality.
I know a lot of very wealthy people who are also miserable. I have no plans to become one of them. One of the questions becomes how much is enough. "More" is not the answer.
