What is more important, vengeance or justice?

You can't have it both ways. If you engage in vengeance, then that is an injustice. If you believe in justice, then that precludes vengeance. If you answer both, I'm just going to delete it because you need to answer this question with one choice or the other, please.

Justice, the way the world enacts it, is derived from a set of locally selected values. It is variable and subjective.

You ask for importance... one will only be significant with the other as a contrast.

I don't 'want it' both ways of course - in case that you mean my own preferences.

I may hope for justice but am unlikely to take any action. Eject the toxic person from your circle and forget them. Continuing the negativity by actively seeking consequences for them only prolongs the harm done to you.
