Will the next US “civil war” be a slow social and economic collapse?

I don't forsee a shooting match like the last. I see a controlled implosion in areas unless people have enough support to transition into their new future, of impoverishment.

We already have the kindling of it... theft and crime that is largely ignored by authorities, is rampant in New England. Eventually, that can break people, but it's happening slowly. A slow culling of society occurs... as long as the families of those killed aren't too vocal, it will be allowed. This results in possible "vigilante" and mass attacks, but managed by incidents.

Example of a mob attack, essentially a racial hate crime... black mob... attacking two caucasian girls at their doorstep off campus. York authorities, AA, essentially brushed this off, no convictions, no corrections. Flare ups of local tensions could occur. I don't see it going national, not without major marketing and coordination, which govt wouldn't stop, unless it's like BLM which they'd support.

A culling of the heard... as long as people are controlled, especially the victims, there isn't a "problem"... in the eyes of the govt.

A slow decline in middle class and their ability to "make ends meet". More people going to pantries and soup kitchens, more social bailouts.

Get a load of Seattle. The shop owner indicates 100-150 dead in 6 months, and new group of addicts comes in. People are falling out of society, decaying... not so far from zombie apocolypse. Isn't it ironic that what was done to China in the opium wars, has been turned on USA?

The civil war takes a decade or two for implosion, of course job losses from AI and transitions. Some will do fine financially and if they can avoid being victimized. Most or many will fall into levels of despair and public servitued... can't make it without the govt assistance.

How it ends and where it ends up, not so sure.

An observation locally... our ability of self defense is already, largely, removed. If defend oneself, go to jail, you're in trouble especially engaging with AA person, which is the source of a lot of crime because is the source of a lot of poverty at this time. Could happen with other cultural groups easily.

Florida and other other right leaning states may fare better given ability of self defense, stand your ground. Maybe.
