I think you got it backwards. The increase in the number of single mothers occurs when immoral men run from their responsibility. Women got used to the concept of self support and relying on themselves. They found it was easier and required less emotional trauma. I realize that Narcissism occurs in both sexes. Yes, I am well versed in English and it is my native language. Single mothers are caused by fathers not stepping up. They abandon the children either in whole or in part. This wreaks havoc on our society as it is set up for two parents. One parent, the father i almost all cases, that disappears or far less committed leaves the mother trying to do everything to raise the child. That is far less optimal and opens the door to behavioral problems which impacts education and not just for that child but other children in the classroom.

I called out absent fathers because that is the root of the problem, not single mothers. The single mother is the one left trying to hold it all together. So to be clear, the absent father is the cause of this mess not the single mother.
