It’s been bad here in the US. We definitely aren’t as tolerant towards single parenting and divorce as we were when I was growing up which is likely for the best.

People who blame single mothers can fuck off. At least she's there and taking care of the child the best she can. Where is the father? What about the deadbeat man who wouldn't take responsability for the child he put on earth? That kid matters more than his wants to play video games and fuck around. It takes two and the responsability is equal. I don't care if he didn't want it, don't want it you don't have sex or you take responsability. As a kid you learn that there is always a chance that any contraception could fail. Fathers need to step up or shut the fuck up about single moms. I bet the men who shit up single moms online must have abandoned like 3 kids with their moms out there. Unpopular opinion but if they are able and the kid isn't given up for adoption I think both parents should be legally obligated to care for the kid. Even if one doesn't want it. Saying one and not fathers because in some rare cases mothers also dump the baby onto the dad and disapears. I think that from the moment it is created you should get to be responsible for the future kid if it makes it to be born and not put for adoption.

I don’t know. But I know there’s no way I’d let a man get out of his parental responsibilities like that. He’s going to be changing diapers, staying up all night trying to keep the baby quiet, and all the fun stuff.

It's not being a single mom or dad is bad for society but rather its if a child is poorly home trained and raised is the biggest problem.

Not every child due to life unfortunate circumstances is going to have a two parent home but raising that child right and with love and guidance he or she most likely will turn out fine.

Single mothers are very bad for society because their children have worse outcomes in every way they can measure. Nearly every inmate, drug addict, mass shooter, suicide, homeless bum, and sex worker came from a single mother household, so more single mothers means more of these degenerates.

Well, it's not the single moms themselves, but the weak family structures that are problematic for society. But there are so many single moms that there is no general societal stigma to being one anymore.
