Like most people, I support the goals and values of original feminism. But feminism has evolved constantly over the decades, and what it evolved into in recent years has earned it the nasty reputation it has today. It's the actions of feminists that define the movement. Feminism is as feminism does.
Personally I'm glad to see feminism die as it has in recent years. It had become too polarizing, divisive and harmful to gender relations. It should be replaced by an equality movement that actually cares about everyone, not just females. Despite its disingenuous claims, FEMinism has never been that, and never will be.
Its just wanting equality between men and women. So naturally im in favor of that.
It’s a big reason as to why there has been and increasing amount of single men and women over the past few years
It would be an oversimplification to attribute this increase solely to feminism. People’s decisions about whether to get married are influenced by many factors, including economic conditions, longer periods of education, the cost of living, women’s participation in the workforce, changing expectations about marriage, and the difficulty of finding a suitable partner.
It’s also just as reductive to automatically interpret women choosing not to marry as “avoiding housework and responsibilities.” A woman choosing not to get married and advocating for women to have equal rights are two completely different things.
Read and comprehend what I said.
I did not say “it is THE reason why…”
I said “it’s a big reason as to why…”
Indicating there are several reasons, that’s not to say that the following isn’t true. Because it most certainly plays a part in what I said
Feminism has made a good amount of women predisposition the hatred towards men. Not saying men are perfect either
Equality between men and women. I don't see how you can not be in favour of it.
I think it's actually an evolutionary artifact. Any political fraiming is irrelevant.
Seems completely reasonable that women would want the same rights men have always had.
It's a mixed up idea that women are slaves when they serve their husband, equal to men when they serve their employers
I think reducing feminism to a comparison like a woman shouldn’t serve her husband, but it’s fine for her to serve an employer takes the discussion in the wrong direction. The fundamental argument of feminism isn’t that women must take on exactly the same roles or responsibilities as men in every aspect of life. It is that women shouldn’t be placed in a lower social position simply because they are women.
For example, a woman may get married and choose to take responsibility for household chores and raising children. That choice, or the division of responsibilities within a family, does not by itself make her inferior to a man. What feminism questions is the idea that. because she is a woman, she is naturally expected to do these things, and her own decisions, education, property rights, or rights in public life should therefore come second.
So there isn’t necessarily a contradiction in saying, She is a slave when she serves her husband, but equal when she serves her employer.” The point of feminism isn’t who a woman serves; it’s what rights, autonomy, and legal status she has within society. A woman can have a traditional role within her home and still believe that women should have the same legal and social rights as men.
Just a bunch of man hating and based on half truths
The fact that there are people who hate men within a movement doesn’t mean that the movement itself is based on hatred of men. By the same logic, just because someone supports feminism doesn’t mean that everything they say is automatically correct what matters isn’t what individual people say, but what the ideas themselves are actually trying to achieve
“Misandry and half truths” is an easy label to throw around. But unless you can point out which specific claim is false or which fact is being distorted, you’re not really making a criticism—you’re just labeling it. If you want to criticize an ideology, you should debate it based on the ideas it actually advocates, rather than judging it by its worst examples.
Everyone knows that i'm anti feminism!
Loaded word that people dont all define the same
