Aging alone doesn’t bring wisdom. Experience, mindfulness, intelligence and an open mind are necessary to develop wisdom. Sometimes young people are wise beyond their years and older folks are woefully naive.

It can break either way. My father became wiser. My mother became smaller, dumber and more prejudiced. As with most things in life, it comes down to choices and actions.

I didn't say anything about myself. I don't know where you're reading that. I made a very simple general statement. It's so basic I don't even know what's there to discuss. You gain wisdom from experiencing life, like you said. But not all people are the same, not everyone is learning at the same speed, everyone's life is different and some will be wiser than others.

i find it only brings wisdom in intelligent people. There are a lot of dumb older folks like my grandma at 88 who still have no wisdom.
