Guys, Why aren't the greenies pushing for plant based Diesel over petroleum diesel?

Rudy diesel's first diesel engine ran on peanut oil. While peanut oil would be too expensive, a blend of canola and soy would run about $9 or $10 per gallon. That would cost two or three dollars more than petroleum diesel, but you'd be saving the world. Plant based Diesel runs 80% cleaner than petroleum based.

Also, 3-5 acres of soy would run your diesel car for a year!

If the cost of diesel is what's causing food prices to rise, shouldn't the greenies rise to the occasion?

Because they're lying about caring about the environment. They're full of shit and serve the elites. It's about control and probably extermination.

We have been using 10 percent ethanol for years. It might give corn farmers a boost but it causes clogged carburetors and it ruins many rubber and plastic parts that come in contact with it.

I read that a secondary oil tank that heats the oil will solve the clogging problem. And I guess back in 1936 they didn't clog the way they do now.
I had a friend who had an older Mercedes and he ran nothing but secondary restaurant oil through it. You never had any problems. And if the world really is ending in a few years I don't think the rubber parts matter much.

Because it's not a practical solution. We can't produce nearly enough vegetable oil, and it's more expensive than petroleum. The practical solution is electric vehicles.

You are wrong. First of all, I told you that vegetable oil costs more than petroleum based diesel. So why are you telling me what I just told you?

Second of all, you're acting like everyone with a diesel is going to conform to this. They're not. Maybe three people will. And I'm sure you know that 60% of the electricity those electric cars will use have come from fossil fuels.
