What does it mean if a woman knows your name but you have never been introduced?

I see a girl at my gym who knows both my first and last name. Granted she works there but I have not been at that location for a few weeks and have not seen her there for longer. Yet she called me by my name and even used my last name when I asked if she knew what it was, without me checking in at all.

I guess you're more popular than you realize. Maybe she's seen it on a sign in sheet or it pops up on the computer when you swipe your card.

I can't give you any specific example, but I know in past jobs if I saw someone frequently- even if we didn't say much more than "hi" if I saw them more than 3 times in a short period I would often learn their names. Whether seeing it on a debit card, business card or overhearing it.

That's my only guess.

She might be interested, or she might not... Talk a bit more with her and if she flirts, then there might be something. It also might be because she sees you quite frequently. It's like my workplace- we have guests that want or order the same thing, every single day (waitressing), and of course I get to know them, day by day... So it might be nothing at all.

It could mean that she has asked around about you which could mean that she likes you or thinks you're cute. I agree with what Bigpackage said. Just ask her out.
