Pokemon union room problems?

I have Pokemon Soul Silver and Pokemon Diamond. I am trying to communicate via union room with them. I have tried using two 3DS systems and one 3DS and one DSi XL. Back when I had two DS Lites this would work. Why isn't this working?

It might be your internet. I have a 2Wire so I can't use my wireless for my DS games. If it worked before, maybe create a new connection?
