Do guys get really bothered if a girl farts?

I try not to fart around anyone, just because it's rude. However, my boyfriend took me out to eat Mexican food, and it gave me bad gas. I tried to hold it in all night afterward. We were at my house, watching a movie and it slipped out and it was loud and stunk. He left shortly afterward, and hasn't really talked to me since. It's been about a week. He gives yes or no text messages and so I stopped texting him, and I figure he can come to me when he wants to.

I haven't really had much serious relationships just because of school and work, this is the first one in years at any rate, but I've never had a guy react like this before. I've got many guy friends who I've accidentally let one go in front of, and they just laughed it off. But maybe it's different between friends and relationships? I just don't understand his reaction, especially since it seems kind of immature to me. I'm 26 and he's 29.

And things seemed like they were going really well between us. He had even set us up a Niagara Falls trip for Valentine's Day. He asked me to book off the Friday, which I did, so we can go down Thursday after my shift and we would spend Thursday to Sunday out there. It's only a two hour trip from here.

It just seems odd, but I kind of wonder if maybe he's just using it as an excuse to leave me. We seemed good that day, but maybe I did something else? He does complain I work too much. Maybe it's because of work. I just don't get it.

If your boyfriend doesn't act like the main charactertowards your farting, then he doesn't reall like you. I'm trying to find a YouTube clip of that part. Well this is the way I see it farting is natural for girls to. If a girl is around me and gets gas she is only going to get an uncomfortable sick and bloated tummy from holding it in. Therefore I would rather the girl just farted and relived herself. It is not the girls fault if she has to fart, it is nature and I will not judge her for letting it go either or make her feeling uncomfortable. If she gets super embarrassed I will make sure she knows I am not turned off or I do not think anything less of her to. Farting is natural and girls need to fart to so around me any girl can fart.

you know the answer. forget him. a guy who is so shallow and immature especially at that age, why would you want to be with him? he obviously has some imaginary fairy tale unrealistic mindset about women how theyre pink princesses that poop glitter and look like victorias secret models. you actually think he's gonna get far with love, marriage and relationships with that attitude? consider it a blessing and leave the f***er. good riddance. someday he will have a daughter too whos gonna fart and sh*t while he changes diapers.

It's not the fart that is the problem, it's what the fart represents; wrinkly skin, saggy t*ts, bags under the eyes, cellulite, and everything that says "it won't be long before I let myself go". After you've been married 5 years you can let it slip from time to time.

I honestly tried to hold it in. My stomach was starting to hurt really bad from it. But if that's the way he thinks then it's over. I'm letting him know tomorrow since he is making that kind of assumption. I'm not going to be the type to let myself go if we were ever to get married. I don't want to be unhealthy or look like crap. Especially since he has a pot belly and he farts around me all the time. I've never complained but if that's his view, it's hypocritical and we're done.

How long have you been going out? There is like a certain period of time before bfs and gfs feel relaxed enough around each other to initiate the burping or farting.

only five months, not anymore though, I dumped him by text message. Normally I don't break up that way because it should be face to face, and it's a low blow... however, his behavior was immature so I just didn't care. He wasn't happy, but he said it was my own fault for not holding it in. He farted in front of me all the time. Once he farted in bed, and put the covers over my face and I put up with it. So whatever, he's more pissed about the money he wasted on the hotel than anything.
