Questions about letting a girl win games while on a date.

I was always taught that when dating a woman, that if we played some type of game together, that I should let her win. I have two problems with that.

1. It seems like if she can't handle losing a game then that is an indicator that she has control issues.

2. If a guy is so afraid of upsetting the girl that he has to hold himself back, that would show a lack of confidence on his part.

So I was wondering what others thought. Should a guy let the girl win? Why or why not? Also I was wondering how often do guys actually let the girl win? Is that just outdated advise no one pays attention to anymore?

I will always let her win, but like in more playful way,smiling. like a pretend armwrestle...I'll always pretend that she is really strong and I'm straining to beat her...sound effects and all

She knows you let her but surely that's just part of the flirting? this just me?

It isn't that a guy needs to assert his dominance by beating her down. It is that a guy shouldn't be so afraid of a girl rejecting him, that he has to be less than who he is in order to appease her. Win or lose, both people should be able to do their best, and be good winners and losers about the game.

I disagree...I think I at least have confidence in my ability to know that I don't feel the need to compete against her to feel my own worth. It is far more important to me that she has a good time while with me, win or lose...and lets be honest if you try to beat her 19/20 you will...not very fun for her...

the only time I'd actually try win is if I had heavily stacked the odds in her favour
