I'm thinking about auditioning for a role in a romantic teen movie, but it's only a book now and casting will probably be around 2 years from now. since most teenagers in films are played by people above the age of one in movies that involve romance (or anything really), I was wondering if there was some law that prevents underaged and adult actors from kissing or making out on screen?it's not like they're having sex or anything, but just playing their role in the movie. is it against the law or is that just how they cast?
I would figure that the person's agent would be aware of any legality issues. But typically you sign some sort of contract, know the people's ages in question, and know what they can and cannot do.

Often, there are such laws, but sometimes they seem to be ignored.
The bigger issue is child labour laws in general. That's the main reason that movies use adult actors whenever they can.
You sign a contract
Actors/actresses generally have a will do or will not do list. Some won't do nudity, others are not open to any same sex PDA scenes or interracial scenes etc
