What do you think of the transgender athlete who will join the women's team of the Olympics?

Laurel Hubbard, was a male athlete who was competing until his 30's as a male. Now transitioned and will compete against women.
Broke several female records and just demolishing the weight lifting sport.
The Olympics require hormone therapy for 1 year before the event. This is ridiculous, all her life she was benefiting as a male in the physical aspect: more muscle fibers, denser bones, larger heart and lungs...
This kind of thing will tear women's dreams, scholarships and fame.
Even if Laurel will not win (which I am doubtful), she still takes a spot in the team that a biological woman should have been into.

I think that South Park literally can't even parody real life anymore because Clown World has become too much of a joke to parody. And I think the hairy selfish piece of sh*t competing against women must be the most insecure loser on the planet if he needs to beat women in sports to feel good about himself.

I don't even care about women's sports (or any sports) per se; it's the principle of letting someone with an unfair advantage trounce all over people he clearly outclasses. This bald, schlubby f*cking failure of a human being "Laurel" Hubbard can sleep soundly at night knowing he's taking on people with half his upper body strength. I think trans men and women should have their own category in the Olympics, much like the Paralympics, this seems unfair to many men and women in general. It's unfair to trans men and unfair to cis women especially. Just because you identify as a man doesn't mean you are physically a man and you should not compete in sports with cis men unless your body have been undergoing HRT since puberty because it gives an unfair advantage or disadvantage in many athletics.

I think trans women should compete... IF they've been going through hormone therapy for years. First, it's not just the muscle and testosterone mow, it's also bone density, heart capacity and lungs volume. Of course the broader shoulders help mechanically.
Secondly, just because she didn't won, doesn't mean she didn't have an advantage, and of course she took a spot of a biological woman.

It's all about fairness and this isn't fair to those girls who have worked and trained extraordinarily hard to get to this level. Is is anyone thinking about them?

i think it's great. this unmistakenly shows why men and women are different and why the separation in sports exists to begin with. cause if you let biological men into the female teams, there's soon not gonna be any biological women left, cause (without meaning that in mean spirit) men are just that much superior when it comes to physical performance.

I think it's good that trans people are being included. I don't feel discriminated against. I compete in martial arts against men. Some are better than me some are not. It is how sports work.

Same, I do martial arts and gymnastics. But here skill is not a factor, only strength. And in martial arts there is a physical advantage for men most of the time. What do you say about a competition only for trans? I do accept people like this socially, but biologically it's different...

Skill is also a factor in weightlifting. There isn't enough trans people in individual sports for that to be an option. Science says there is no direct evidence that trans people have an advantage over cis people in sports. I'll believe in that until it's said otherwise.
