
I don't often do this, but on occasion when I'm talking about my favorite sports team, I have said, "I hope we make it to the finals this year," or "I hope we win the championship" and there are those that lose their mind over this phrasing and say, you don't play on the team, you're not out there, so there is no we. I'm not an idiot, I know I'm not actually on the team, but is it really that stupid to say things like that, because I think as a fan you are part of what makes the sport great. Look at how the games were when we were in lockdown and no one was there...someone scores a touchdown or shoots from half court and no one cheered---that was sort of lame because there wasn't that same glory.
