they do... just not all of them, just not the most popular

same situation in Mexico... baseball and boxing were bigger than soccer... till one day it just wasn't, the World Cups did help to change that situation

Seems like the USA had a passion for baseball originally. Also soccer is short for “associated football” and they chose not to have a passion at that time
