Do some people take football way too serious? I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, living in WI now, that the Packers beating Detroit was HUGE, should I?

This is my first Thanksgiving with an actual Wisconsin family. While my boyfriend’s mother, sister and I were cooking, all the guys were watching the Packers playing Detroit. You’d think Green Bay just won the Superbowl! But then I remembered, it’s Detroit. At least they’re all in a good mood! I’d hate to see what it would be like if they had lost.😂😂

😂😂😂😂 When we got to his parents house, the first thing his dad said was, “well, are you ready to watch Green Bay get slaughtered”? Then I could hear them cheering and thought, “hmm, they must not be getting slaughtered”. I have to say, also, why don’t they like Rodger’s? Every one in his family hates him! 😂 I don’t know football but didn’t Rodgers give them some good years? I moved from Miami and even we would hear about how good he was and I remember Green Bay beating us a couple times.

but ever since he wone that one time, he probably racked up close to half a billion dollars and then won NOTHING AT ALL... and gave the fans nothing but choking at the finals all the time... so yeah, not easy to be a GB fan in the last two decades, lol

Yeah, I guess I do remember him choking in the NFC championship games. My boyfriend said they would have the best record in football and lose first round at times! Lol. They seem to like Jordan Love but like his dad said, “I don’t care if Green Bay doesn’t win another game this season, it’s better than having the Diva”. They hate Rodgers so much, it’s actually kinda funny. 😂😂

One of the things I enjoy about football is the emotion and passion of cheering on my team and watching it with friends and family.


Detroit was projected to win big so they cheered as the underdog.

The whole game! We were cooking and could hear them cheering throughout the game. That’s when I was thinking, “they must not be getting slaughtered”. They were extremely happy, especially since it was Detroit. I guess they beat the Packers pretty bad earlier in the season,

I would say yes for sure , I met some crazy ass sports fans that live for sports , I enjoy sports as well but I am not heavy into it , I will watch it from time to time but I don’t make it a priority to watch , I feel most sports are rigged and set up , I saw to much bullshit in sports that I can’t think otherwise mainly the playoffs and Super Bowl and Stanley cup are all rigged events to make money , it’s like WWE , the only difference is , WWE admitted it was fake and it’s just for entertainment , I feel sports are the same , they just won’t admit it

The thing is that Detroit and Green Bay are division rivals. Football fans do take division games more serious.

Yes! I guess the Thanksgiving game against Detroit was “revenge”!, from an earlier game in the season. No one expected Green Bay to win. I don’t know much about football but Green Bay looks like a tough team. Future wise. Now that I live in the cold hell hole of WI, I got no choice but cheer for them! 😂
