It's the biggest sporting event in the U. S. and it has sort of become inshrined in our culture. It's also a huge money maker. I get the game part, what I don't get is the obsession with the commercials. Most of them are incredibly stupid and make no sense.

I agree with you 100% on the Taylor Swift thing. She was in the news so much, that me and my family actually thought she was playing the halftime show. She was there, good for her. There were other celebs there that weren't getting the kind of attention she was. There are celebrities that date players in other sports and attend their matches and no one makes a fuss about it.

I hate football but I get your hatred of the hype. But look at it this way, it’s a show wrapped around a football game.

I used to love the Oscar’s…decades ago. Now it’s a red carpet event where nominees buy their awards.
