Mine is Ayrton Senna ever since I was 16.

His rivalry with Prost in the 80s was simply epic. I was watching the race when he died. That car set up for him should have been his championship. It would have been great to see him and Schumacher go head to head over a few seasons instead of Hill.

Yeah, that’s how I found out about him, was watching sport fatalities videos on YouTube, after a Georgian sportsman passed away in very unfortunate circumstances and suddenly Senna’s video opened, I saw him for the first time and I cried. To see the reaction of people… I thought he must have been someone amazing to cause that huge terror and grief in so many human’s hearts. That’s how I learned more about him to the point that I knew literally all his sport history by heart.

My first girlfriend's dad was a F1 mechanic with Arrows at the time. It was a big shock. The teams and drivers have massive rivalry with each other, but even when they hate each other it's on first name terms.

So Graham Hill. He survived the most dangerous era or F1, then sadly died in a plane crash.
