Every time I see an all-time HW list, Mike Tyson is always higher than Holyfield. How though? Holyfield defeated a better caliber of opponents, had greater longevity, performed better against common opponents, and he defeated Tyson twice. On the list of heavyweight ATGs, Holyfield should always be above Tyson.

Well he was undefeated & undisputed at cruiserweight, silver Olympic medalist and undisputed heavyweights champ. As a heavyweight in his prime he was beat twice by Bowe, twice by Lewis, struggled against foreman & Holmes (who in my opinions beat Hollyfield), beat Moorer, beat by Ruiz, Byrd, Toney, Vaulev.
Tyson in his early career cleared out the hw division while Hollyfield was in the cruiserweight division. Hollyfield wasn't able to do this when he entered the hw division. Struggled against older boxers and larger men, his first defeat to fellow ex cruiserweight Moore defeated by old George Foreman and beaten by journeyman boxer Ruiz. Tyson destroyed Larry Holmes while Hollyfield didn't really win their fight. It's not taking anything away from Hollyfield to rank him below Tyson or Lewis.
