I’m just not sure what is appropriate for me to expect from him/ if I’m being too demanding. But it is obvious that he priotitizes sports over me. How would you address this, what do I have the right to ask of my partner in this situation?
1 yIn a way this is sort of like the "my boyfriend prioritizes video game over me" situation.
It's one of those things that there's always more of so it's really about an agreed upon lifestyle and probably division of labor and relationship attention. Some women love sports just as much and some couldn't imagine dedicating anytime to it.
It's normal to have hobbies a few times a week yes, its also not normal to check out of a relationship 4 out of 7 days between 5-10pm, and ignore your partner's needs should they happen to request your attention, especially for trivial or even logistical concerns like scheduling, doing a simple chore, or even showing an interest in their day.
Plan a standing date night in advance, and make sure he knows to plan it. Give him other things to do with his time and if he's not interested in spending more time in the relationship, then maybe you're just not compatible long term. If he's not prioritizing the relationship now, how would be prioritize additional commitments down the line?00 Reply

1 yI think you needed to give us a little more back story here. Sure there are times we all may have felt un-prioritized with friends , family , partners , but it’s give and take , compromise , making time for all the important things and people in your life, it’s a balance isn’t it , couples need their time apart as much at times as together.. If I felt that my partner was ALWAYS or majoritively putting something else before me then id have a chat with her and tell her how I feel feel , I wouldn’t expect that she is doing it intentionally as I know her , I know how she feels and how busy our lives can be , I wouldn’t complain or bitch about it I would probably just ask her to keep a date or dates free and plan something for us making sure I got some “us” time to re-connect. There is no point in wrestling for anyone’s rime it will only push them further from you. Remind him your there casually make some plans for him and take it from there. If he then lets you down well maybe you need some distance to let him re-evaluate if he actually has time for a woman in his life right now but I’m sure that won’t be the case.

1 yThat we are in a relationship with a woman whom we love and adore does not mean that we have to sacrifice our whole lives to those women...
Most of us do do our best to balancing our attention between our partners and our interests.
Earlier in a relationship we generally fully concentrate on the woman, but gradually over time it could happen that we start to shift more towards our interests. It absolutely doesn't mean a thing... we'll still make time for women, and if women need us... but we may seem a bit pre-occupied... just let us know.
My ex accuses me of being 'absent'; while I most certainly have my 'issues' (as a result of how she treated me), I was always there for her if she needed me. She claims she tried to talk to me, she hasn't tried that; she has never said "Love, come here. We need to talk. please sit down, listen and wait for me to finish". I would drop what I am doing instantly and do as requested.
If I am 'too busy' with playing games, and she wanted to watch TV with me; a simply "Love, shall we watch some TV together" is more than enough.10 Reply
That's like a neverending battle. Sometimes you gotta just let them watch and go do things with friends and then other times you should expect them to choose you over sports too. If he's NEVER picking you then yeah, that's a problem. But it's best to pick and choose some battles. Let them watch the things that are most important to them and when it's time for them to do something important, remind them about the times you relented and let them get out of something to watch sports and that it's their turn to miss something for you. It shouldn't be lopsided in either direction though.

Is his sport watching jeopardizing your relationship with him? How long does he watch sports for in a day? Of it’s only for a few hours then that’s not that big of a deal but if it’s pretty much the whole day then maybe he is t the guy for you? If he is only watching for a few hours a day? why don’t you find something that you enjoy doing as well , while he is watching sports , Find a hobby or something that you always thought about doing , Don’t rely on your boyfriend to bring you happiness at all times , cuz if tha/t’s the case , you will never be happy. So if he is prioritizing most of his time on sports over prioritizing you then you have a right to walk away from that relationship. But if it isn’t extreme , than go prioritize something that you enjoy doing instead

1 yOh, fellow submissive, I feel your distress. My Mistress prioritizes literally everything over my needs... wait, do I even have needs?
In the realm of submission, we understand that our primary focus should be on pleasing our Dominant. If your boyfriend is neglecting you in favor of his athletic pursuits, perhaps it is time for a gentle request for attention.Humbly ask him if you can incorporate activities that can involve both his passion for sports and your commitment to bondage and discipline. For instance, a workout session where he must exercise his magnificent biceps by spanking your bad, bad little submissive ass.
Keep your head low, your eyes to the ground, and always seek the path that pleases your Master the most.

1 yYou can demand anything you want. Similarly, he can deny anything you want.
You should probably just end the relationship. Since your question was essentially, “What do i have the right to demand from my boyfriend?” rather than, “What can i do to be sure my boyfriend gets more from me than he gets from sports?”, you are not ready for a relationship. You’re still stuck in your childish sense of self importance. Finish being immature before you go trying to ruin other people’s lives for your own benefit.00 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)1 yWe don't know what that means. You have to give us more detail and examples. And you are sharing one side of this... yours. Would he agree he prioritizes sports over you, or just that you wish he spent more time with you and you are jealous of his passion for sports?
Also, are you talking about watching sports, or participating in them. If it's the former, you may have a valid complaint. But if it's the latter, you should tread lightly. Participating in sports in healthy, and people of both sexes can be very passionate about it, which can be a very good thing (witness the Olympics happening right now).
00 ReplyIs he on a team or something? If so, that’s his livelihood… what do you expect? If it’s once weekly with his buddies… same answer… what do you expect?
A guy isn’t going to drop EVERYTHING he loves just because he picked up a girl…. Learn to enjoy the sport he’s into. Also, that doesn’t sound like it’s a daily problem; if he isn’t devoted to you at least part of the week then why are you with him?00 ReplyLet him enjoys his sports, that's like his "me" time. I would try to watch SOME things with him and maybe ask questions so he knows you care about what he's interested in. Definitely not during any type of playoff games. Or after the game ask how was the game and who won.
00 ReplyDoes he prioritize every single time?
I have been with a freaky sporty fan guy. He'd watch sports but he'd make time if I asked for it. He'd be so happy when I'd join him and he'd tell me all about it.
And if I had something I wanted to do he'd understand and he does the same.
and you can't expect him to be 24/7 be around you to be with.
Sometime a guy needs a time alone or with friends.
But he still needs to make the most of his free time to you but not all the time.00 ReplyAll men are like that, your job is to bring the beer and snacks. And don’t try to talk to him while he’s watching sports 🏈 because you might make him miss something.

1 yWelcome to the world of guys who are sports nuts. Best you can do is learn to live with the fact that he will always put sports above you. If you don't want to do that, find another guy.
