I always love the Olympics and the athletic and gymnastics finals.

Oh boy….. so, I’m a Boston sports fan, so I’ve just seen championship after championship after championship, for my entire adult life. One sport is down, another one is up. But the point is, that makes for a lot of playoff games, which are high stakes and add to the excitement.

There are maybe four Super Bowls that come to mind. Two were won on last-second field goals, the first being the team’s first ever championship. I ran outside and jumped in a snowbank🤣 Another was won on a last second interception when it looked like they were on the brink of defeat. The other was coming back from being down 28-3 with only a quarter and change left in the game, and they pulled off an improbable comeback to win in overtime. I did not “enjoy” a single one of those games, lmao, my stomach was in a knot the whole time until I knew the final result.

If I have to pick one of those, I feel like the most dramatic was the one with the interception. It was literally snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. Certainly remembered as an all-time great, by any fan, but certainly by Pats fans.

In person? A National Lacrosse League Championship. I've seen 3 of them: 2002, 2006, 2008. (I would have gone to 2007 and had tickets, but it was moved due to an arena scheduling conflict.)

Sadly, the 2002 and 2006 were losses for the home team which I supported, but the 2008 was a victory for the home team. The 2002 loss was by 1 goal and the 2008 victory was also by 1 goal. Lacrosse is a high-scoring sport so 1-goal difference is very little; you can have 3 goals scored in a minute! The pressure was intense in both.

Now the NLL Championship is a best-of-3.

When my team FC Arges, win against one of the most corrupt clubs in history of my country with a surprising 5-2. The Dinamo supporter become even violent and storm the peach at 1-0 (for my team), just to be beat out of my stadium by police and to be destroyed with a 5-2. It was a cold night but more then half of the stadium was shirtless, screaming and cheering our team who was about to be relegate in the second division, but falling in the most honourable way possible, with a devastating victory against one of the most hated club in Romania. Nobody was upset that night and everybody celebrate like a winning of the title.
