I actually don't know how to surf, but I've always admired the art of it. The way surfers glide over the waves is mesmerizing, reminiscent of a beautiful dance. I find it similar to how movies capture those breathtaking visuals we see on screen. Watching surfers is like watching a well-directed film scene—pure artistry and skill. 🌊🏄♀️🎥

I grew up in southern California not far from the ocean. I learned how to body surf when I was young. I got a belly board in my early teens.
The summer after 9th grade, a friend's older brother started teaching us how to surf on big, wooden boards. Then I bought a 7' fiberglass board of my own.
In my early 20s, I bought a short, really maneuverable board.
So, by the time I was 16 and in high school, I knew how to surf.
From then on, my friends and I went surfing all the time for about 10 years.
I don't lol I can barely swim 😅.
I like to watch surfers though while I'm chillin on the sand.

I did some body surfing when I visited Australia, but never on a board.
@aviatortom
Awesome
A little bit. But I know more about how to smurf! :-D
As for surfing I learned a long time ago however I like body surfing better. Grab a wave & body surf it in & if people are in your way it’s like bowling.
@Brandi555 oh yeah 🦥
I clicked NO by accident BUT am soon to be moving to Portugal where there are some of the best surfing sites in Europe so THAT'S one of the bucket list things I intend to learn
I tried a few years ago. I kept falling off when I wasn't even on a wave. 0/10 will not try again
Yes, I have not been in 6 or 7 years. I had a total hip replacement and I do not think I could get up on a surf board. I would probably have to train for it for a few months.
I've tried a little bit of it and the basics went fairly well... do I actually know how to surf though? nope... lmao
I am not much of a swimmer but i have spent some time on a boogey board.

Yes. I live near the Point in Newport Beach and started very young.
I lived on inland lakes, never had waves to surf on.
