When have you made some form of come back?
And anyone with some technique suggestions for distance running? Honestly , and in the extreme heat I found the run difficult.

I would like to pick up skateboarding again, that was a lot of fun as a teenager. But congratulations on your half-marathon, I wonder if I could make it. 10km was my maximum so far and that took a piece out of me. 😮💨
I have a skateboard behind me , I'd love to get back on it too..
I started doing 10.5 s - not at any great speed , slow , but I really wanted to try the 1/2 ,
I didn't train , just entered and forced myself. Honestly , it was a lot / lot tougher , for me anyhow , I couldn't quite believe how much more difficult , the muscle hangover has been worse too , but I did 30 minutes in the pool , felt so much better in water.
It was skiing for me. Life just got in the way. I came back to it after a couple of decades away and I'm better than ever.
I grew up. I'm still in good shape but I've lost all fear. Skiing is dealing with fear on a steep slope or on ice. You have to commit and go for it with confidence. I do that better now than I did in my 20's and 30's. All the skills came back really fast. As they say, like riding a bike.
Also, to be honest the equipment, skis, bindings, and boots have all seen marked improvements over the 2 decades I was out of the sport. The 2 pair of skis I use now are just so easy to ski well on.

I finish a 1% marathon each other day.
What gets me back usually: beers in my fridge
Last time I tried something more challenging, I ended up in ICU for 4 days. But offer me a new cave - and I'm in :)
Well way to go man! Keep it up!! 🏆
