Should We Have An Actual Bowl And A Cup, Instead Of The Current World Super Bowl Trophy, And The World Cup Trophy?

The World Super Bowl Trophy for football is not a Bowl, and the soccer World Cup is not a Cup, have the competitions organisers gone mad.

What is your opinion?

A. We should have a Bowl and a Cup for these competitions.

The America's Cup (sailing) is also not a Cup for the winners, and should have been called Britain and America's Trophy, but America has won it nearly all the time until recently, so perhaps it's justified calling it the America's Cup lol

The competition began as the Hundred Guineas Cup (not a Cup) around Isle of Wight UK, but was renamed in honor of the winning yacht, the trophy a bottomless silver ewer or pitcher, donated to the New York Yacht Club establishing it as an International event.

There3 is nothing world about the Super Bowl as it is all American football teams. Outside of Canada I'm not sure of any other country that plays the game as most places football is soccer.

“Bowl” originally referred to the game/event, not the shape of the trophy, like Rose Bowl or Orange Bowl. Same with “World Cup” in soccer: the cup was more literal long ago, but the modern trophy is more symbolic. Tradition matters more than the shape, and fans already love these names 🏆
