How do you think the "InitialChatFriendsList" Facebook code works?

I personally think it has to do with the amount of interactions on YOUR profile get (comments, likes, posts to your wall, views, etc).

So on mine, my mother is the first in this list which is accurate because she constantly does all the above. Second is a guy who has a crush on me so I assume he has checked my profile numerous times and I have chat with him a few times. Him and my mom switch spots a lot, at least once every week or two.

The last few are just my college friends that I interact with a lot.

So what do you all think it means? I know no one knows for sure because Facebook hasn't released any information on it but I'm one of those people who likes to research and investigate things so I like coming up with theories.

I haven’t even known about existence of such list. But I don’t use FB that much.
I can tell you one thing. There is a lot of code under the hood, which we don’t know about. It doesn’t have to be bad, it probably isn’t, but it takes away control from user. That, I don’t like.
