What really needs to be modernized?

Human instinct. It is stuck 20,000 years in the past. We're more ape-like than most people like to believe. We are greater apes, after all.

But, society has transformed so drastically in the past 100 years, that it isn't very amenable to our 20,000 year old instincts.

I, for one, am in favor of gene therapy. Forcibly update our animal instincts, so people in Urban areas aren't killing each other so much. Might even stop all the wars and make people want to help each other, instead of attack each other like monkeys.

Schools. The foundation of education is based on very old traditions where as we have already done very extensive research in how to teach people we have yet to actually put it into effect.

Not disagreeing. what i notice is that people modernize it to fit their lifestyle. Even though that sometimes don't work. like people that are christian often have "decided" that the part about the Bible that asks you to kill gays "don't count". According to who or what?
