Thoughts on Porsche Cayman S?

I'm seriously thinking of buying a new Porsche Cayman S, and after searching the local dealer's inventory, I found one pretty much exactly like what I'm looking for. So, I made an appointment to go drive it tomorrow, and they seem pretty motivated to sell in stock cars, so I'm guessing this might be a good time to buy. It's White, with Black Interior, 6 speed manual transmission, 20" wheels, Sport seats and a few other nice options. I've read good reports, but just wondering if anyone here has experience with a late model Cayman or Boxster, this one is a 2020 model. Being a high-end Dealer I'll dress to impress, plus I have to be sure I don't have any issues with the clutch pedal wearing high heels, some stick shift cars aren't real high heel friendly, hope the Cayman is. Thoughts?

Unreliable garbage. Turbos cost 5k+ each to fix on a Porsche. if it's out of warranty. So if it's a twin turbo like the Cayman you're already looking at 10K.

The image is not worth the headache.

Not sure what I'll do, but whatever sports car I decide on it has to have a stick shift, I just love shifting the gears myself, I don't like automatics, especially in a Sports car.

It's nice, but why not going directly for a 911 Carrera?

Besides costing about $30,000 more, the 911 isn't as fun to drive as my Cayman GTS 4.0. I like the look of the Cayman better, and I think it just drives better and feels more responsive, but that's just my opinion. I did drive a couple 911's before I decided on the Cayman.

Yah, it's a bit more expensive, but I just like it better, it's more powerful too. But I can see why you like the Cayman more.

The Cayman GTS 4.0 is the top of the Cayman line, and not cheap either. My boyfriend is a real "car guy", and so is my dad, so I learned how to drive on a stick shift and that's really all I care to drive, the choices for manual transmission sports cars are getting smaller every year. My boyfriend has a 2019 Corvette ZO6 coupe with the manual and we've done a few track days together, since we've both been to Competition Driving schools. We did one a few months ago at Daytona, my Cayman could get up to almost 170 on the Tri-Oval part. I took a ride with Steve in his ZO6, he was pretty much running away from every other car on the track, in the same area he was able to touch 190. Scary, but fun.

Wow, you're def way more savvy about cars than I am! I just like nice cars and how they drive, but never get into those details, i end up driving them for a couple of years and then getting a new one.

Like I said, I got it from my dad. Guys seem to be a bit surprised when they see me getting out of my Porsche in my heels and a miniskirt, even more so when they see it's a stick shift and not an automatic.
