1 yMercedes-Benz is clearly a better car, however, a 7 Series BMW, is a MUCH nicer car than an A-Class Mercedes-Benz! When you're comparing a seven 7 Series BMW, you're looking at something more comparable to an S-Class Mercedes. So I would definitely get the 7 Series BMW. (Unless it was super high mileage!) I'm not much of an expert on Mercedes or BMW’s, I only know that most of my friends with Merc’s or Beemers have either Mercedes SL Roadster’s, or CLE Cabrio's (which I guess would be a "C class" versus an "S Class”) or a couple of friends have the BMW Z4 Roadster!
I hope that is of some help.

I've had the same Beemer since '15. My sister has a '23 AMG, in Germany anyways. She's single and having fun. I'll probably get the 7 series if I can wrestle a couple of money from my hubs.

Good luck, I hope you and your husband make the decision that’s best for both of you. Just make sure you get the car checked at a Mercedes dealership (if it’s not being sold at a MB or BMW dealership!) they are both unbelievable car makers, but they can cost a lot to fix when something goes wrong!
OMG! I love the AMG’s! My high school boyfriend had a 2-door AMG GT (something) it was SO beautiful! But unless we were going out to dinner somewhere really nice, we usually took my Jeep! I always found it satisfying that some of my “spoiled” friends were like “THAT’S IT? That’s all you got for your Sweet 16? And yet whenever we had the choice to take a $120k AMG, or a hand restored 1995 Jeep with a hand-built Corvette engine, unless we were deliberately showing off, (as teenager’s do) we usually just took the Jeep! and when it was a girls night out, we needed 2 cars anyway, and my friends would fight over who got to go in my Jeep!, versus whatever the other car was. I definitely had the last laugh there! It was just so much more fun to drive it, or even just ride in for my friends! It had Alcantara seats, it could spin all four wheels, and it NEVER got stuck in the sand, if we (b/f and I) wanted a romantic evening driving down or just parking the beach, or (my friends and I) were just going to hang out, sunbathe, and people watch! We always all piled in and took the Jeep that last mile or so down the beach!
Again, good luck, I really hope you get your new car, sweetie.
Take Care, Laura 🤗 🥰 - 1 y
I like your Jeep. I was actually considering getting one before. They are great vehicles and amazing shocks for off-road adventures and smooth rides.
She has the 2023 AMG GT. I can't even afford that car, and I'm her older sister. It feels like you're riding on air and goes really fast. She is very spoiled but really cool and not stuck up, at least. Some guy on her OnlyFans bought it for her, not directly anyway.
Thanks! I'll probably get it in a month or so. My spouse said ok, but I have to wait until August.

Oh yeah, I absolutely LOVE Jeeps! I’ve had 3, and I currently own two, (my daily driver, and my first Jeep that I built w/ my dad, and is in storage), and when I finally need a new vehicle, I will buy ANOTHER Jeep! I don’t care how much my net worth is, I don’t want a Maybach, a Rolls Royce, a Bentley, or a Lamborghini SUV, I want a Jeep! If I want luxury, I’ll have my Jeep, reupholstered in leather, lambs-wool carpet, an Alcantara wrapped steering wheel, walnut veneer, leather dash, you name it! But I will be driving a Jeep! It’s 4-wheel drive, it can climb over giant rocks, up mountain trails, it can cross a shallow river w/o a bridge, and even if it floods it has built-in drain plugs, to get the water out. Best of all, it’s American! 🇺🇸

Hey, once you like a certain model, most keep it. I know this older guy at a grocery store I go to who bags my groceries. Multi-millionaire who "just likes getting out to meet people and be a friendly smile" and who drives the same Cadillac for 20 years. My family goes for German engineering because we live in Germany. I have seen plenty of American cars there too

I was almost born in Germany. My mom was a US Army surgeon when my parents met. She was planning to have me on the base, but at the (very) last minute she flew home. I can envision a time I would want something different as a daily driver, I can't imagine why, but I can visualize it. If that ever did happen, I’d still have to keep my Jeeps. I’m never getting rid of my yellow one that I built with my dad. and whatever Jeep I had, when I had this unimaginable need to get something else, I’d still have to keep my regular Jeep too. I don’t plan on keeping the red one forever, my next one will be white w/ pink trim Vs. the black trim I have in my red one now. Like the MOST girly a Jeep can get.

1 yAs an owner of a European car - just consider maintenance and repair costs. They are NOT a small thing. For example - my wife’s Honda takes standard 5W20 motor oil & $50 for me to buy the parts to do her brakes, whereas my beautiful European car costs $575 for brakes & rotors (that’s just one axle) and the synthetic oil costs about four times what the Honda costs. Plus, except for brakes, oil, and maybe a few small things nearly all the repairs require a specialist mechanic. A dual-supercharger engine is simply not a GM small-block 350.

The price is not the issue - the relative cost to owning a Honda is. I’m happily a European car owner. I’m not a hostage to it, but I’m just aware as you should be that it’s not a cheap motoring option. I’ll choose my Euro ride after most American cars and every Asian one. I just accept the expense for what it is.
1 yI think if you're going to get an extended warranty on either you should be ok for a bit but be ready for expensive repairs and breakdowns if you decide to keep either car for a while. I like the 7 series a lot. It's a really good luxury car that still drives nicely. If it's the 740 model get it. The engine in that car is more reliable and drives great. V8s are really nice when they're new but not used. Again if you're going to keep it for a year with a warranty get what you want. Long term though these are crazy to maintain

Choosing between a 2019 A220 Benz and a 2020 7 Series BMW can be quite the dilemma, especially given the price difference! 🌟
The A220 Benz is a compact luxury sedan with a sporty feel and advanced tech features. It’s perfect if you love a sleek design and a nimble driving experience. On the other hand, the 2020 7 Series BMW is a full-sized sedan that pampers you with luxury and power. It's equipped with high-end features and a spacious interior, making it ideal if you enjoy a smooth, high-performance ride.
If you appreciate cutting-edge luxury and don't mind the higher price, the BMW might be more satisfying. But if you prefer something sportier and more compact, the Benz could be the way to go. Ultimately, it depends on your personal preferences and budget. 🚗💨 Remember, always test drive both to see which one feels right for you!00 Reply

The BMW is going to be way faster, handle better, and be a little bigger, ride smoother. It's also going to get worse gas mileage, be more high maintenance, and cost more to repair. The Mercedes isn't going to be as fast and fancy but be more reliable and get better has mileage. If you don't live in Germany or Central Europe where parts and labor to fix that car are cheaper, I wouldn't buy either one. I'd get a Lexus, Acura, Honda, or Toyota.

If you are planning to keep the car for a few years, you're making a mistake buying used European luxury cars. Those cars are designed for people who buy a new car every 5 years. After a few years all the wearable parts and the little electronic gizmos start going bad and then you are paying out the nose for a lot of repairs
1 yDefinitely will have less problems with Mercedes.. BMW aren't as well built as you think.
And gee the 2 you selected are polar opposites lol, I mean a hatch or a 7 series
Would you prefer a lot of room inside with compromised city run about or something that's easy to zip around and park with less boot space?13 Reply- 1 y
My friend has a 7 series. Super roomy! He always complains about oil changes, tune-up costs and gas. I'm going to test drive the Benz. Low horsepower but twin turbo and 0-60 in 6.2 seconds. My mechanic friend can do his magic and get me to 5 seconds easily. But I'm not racing her, mainly just to weave in traffic safely.

Yea in my opinion the Mercedes is definitely more finesse,
So.. not sure what the market is where you live but is a A45 or A35 AMG in the price range of the 7 series?
Just a idea.. AMG also hold value better than a A220 badge .
But yea definitely post back what you think after a test drive, I've love to hear your thoughts
Thanks - 1 y
I can afford the AMG, yea about the same as the 7 series and handles better. I can't afford the GT series, though.
m 1 yTwo very different cars.
the Merc is fairly standard unless it’s got a decent spec.
The 7 Series is a much bigger car and has more kit, most are very well spec’d but are big cars, parking can be fun.
i would go for neither and look for a C series Merc and a 3,4 or 5 series BMW.
10 Reply6.5K opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. You have to go with your heart which one do you like the best? Which one is the best condition check the miles everything else and has it been in an accident before things like that find out. Get a mechanic to inspect it before you pay all that money for it find out what kind of warranty it offers

1 yNot the one to be asking on this one. I choose my vehicles for how they ride, their appearance and whether they are rated well.
I could care less about the engine and how fast it goes. Most of the time your travelling within the city or on the highways which tend to have speed limits where I am from.

1 yI'd only buy the 7-series if you can afford the maintenance
My friend in exotics has recently bought a same age S63 for himself, he found the spare was cracked and has cost £800 to replace (even if the dealer sorted it)10 Reply 6.1K opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. I would not want either one. After you buy it you will have to pay at least a thousand dollars to have it fixed. They are known to break down a lot too. Buy American.

1 yI would never tell anyone what car to buy without first looking it over thoroughly. I would also want to know it's full service history and whether or not it had been involved in any serious accidents

1 yI cannot recommend a BMW. BMW drivers are usually conceited and think they own the road.

I think this is a played out stereotype in the flyover states. It is not a perception in any major metropolitan area in the US and certainly not in any major European city.

m 1 yThese two are not comparable at all. What are your actual needs in a car, is the main question?
12 Reply- 1 y
Good gas mileage. Has speed to weave.

Then stay away from that 7-Series monstrosity and I say this as BMW fan. You might want to compare petrol with diesel milage for every car, depending on the amount you drive. Also inform yourself about the service costs, some dealerships turn into stealerships when it comes to German cars. 🤬
