How often do you still use the word "simp" to insult people online?

I don't. I use the term for what it is. But I don't use it to insult people unless they try to insult me. But two wrongs don't make a right. Had one that had a vendetta because I told her what the definition was. Claim she had a master's in Psychology and all that. Then called me a pedo and such after her butt got caught. She judges me the same way she is calling out other people whom, not to gossip, chose to sleep with. And then threw up her boyfriend who already has low self-esteem in their faces. However, most of the definition is just flat out wrong. It has nothing to do with virgin men, They tend to be really good men, just with the wrong women they're obsessing over. Most of them don't even care about sex. Which is a good thing. They just want to be loved and love in return. The problem is most women are treated bad so they are sex obsessed because all they have to offer is just their bodies.
I've never used it and I never will. (Unless it's to reference how stupid the word/concept is.)
@Unit1 I don't know, Unit. I am still questioning whether this creature actually exists.
A person who fawns over someone and sucks up to them for no valid reason would be called a sycophant. (Well, it's not for no reason - they want to gain something from that person; but I mean it as the receiver does not necessarily warrant such attention.)
Other than that, you've got, I think, these other types of guys:
* The ones who really like girls (in a sort of 'nom nom nom, yummy' kind of way. They're not selective, they fish with a wise net, and they're happy for any kind of interaction. They're friendly and a bit like a Golden Retriever.
* And rich guys who can't easily attract women by their looks, so they're [relatively?] happy to pay for the company of women/girls. (Both professionally, and the old 'I'm just a poor struggling college student' kind of opportunistic girls. And maybe a few short-term straggler-type gfs here and there.)
* Most people wouldn't put players in this at all, but some players have a certain amount of resources (money, etc.) that they're willing to 'invest' into getting laid. They want the upper tier girls and will pay just enough to get her into bed, for a short term fling.
* And what about progressive men who see women as their equals, but are nice/generous enough to sometimes kick in a little more, financially, etc. to sometimes have relationships with them. Or not, maybe everything is split 50/50. Sometimes they compliment women (especially online) and it's no big deal, their eyes are wide open, but any compliment or praise they might *sometimes* give is swiftly attacked by the incels and mgtows who are pissed.
So where, in all that, are these supposedly flush-with-cash sycophants who are dumb as posts and throw compliments and money at girls? I guesstimate that it's actually a pretty small proportion of men. If any.
"A person who attempts to gain advantage by flattering influential people or behaving in a servile manner." - Sycophant
Ah, I had such plonkers before. They would almost kiss my ass just to get their academic work done (they wanted me to be doing their work entirely) when I was fully occupied myself. Not to mention language barriers.
Yeah, I have a fairly accurate perception of how unwanted being "simped" for is - or having your ass kissed to gain some kind of favor 🙄
What is a simp and what is simping? The ugly practice now defined for you ↗
I barely use it.
Simps tell all pinks here, that they are the most beautiful woman on earth and after being rejected suddenly they say she's fat and ugly and that nobody wants her 🙄🙄🙄
Kissing their asses is as wanted as having cockroaches in your room.
Pretty much never.
I make it a point not to use dumb pop-culture terminology that has materialized within the last 4 years.

The word lost its meaning because it is used way too much out of context. I rarely use it, but when I do it is in the context of what should truly fall in line with the real definition.
I don't. I think it's stupid to insult men just for respecting women.
I have never used it only men do I believe
Honestly I have never used it.
Never.
