Like no cellphone, no tv, no internet, no smart devices, etc?
And just live life with the basic creature comforts?
What activities do you substitute your tech time with?
So many questions with so many possible answers. Let's hear it!
Yes I do not as often as I use to tho... working Monday -friday, Saturday I ran errands Sunday was my day... didn't look at my phone, watch tv or anything..
I never look at my phone while walking very in the moment unless there's something I want to take a picture of.. when I go camping I dont look at my phone more than once a day..
Now that im not working I haven't done it as much... I have issues with my health that are keeping me from working right now.. I spent 40 hrs infront of a computer and answering phone call after call. My job is still there but I am struggling with just speaking now I have abit of a stutter now.. so with work it helped me keep my sanity doing it..
Activities I do without technology walking, hiking, camping, swimming, board/card games, eating, painting, fishing, having a candle lit bath, thinking about my day what I want to accomplish at the beginning of it and what I have to do that day, reading yes I read the old fashioned way with a book, a lot of times with a long email I print it off, and any time I have company or out with someone.. I keep my phone on silent when im at work its my work phone that rings... my friends all know ill get back to them when I get back to them... It bugs me when I give someone my time and they sit on their phone so I dont do it to others
I used to be able to do that in the past but it's so difficult at the moment. I saw this question yesterday and thought I should try again for a day. Or hell, a couple of hours.
When I was disconnect from the internet, life was so much simpler. I found more peace of mind. I'd spend more time outdoors, lol.
Yes , for the most part , I barely watch tv or play games. As for the cell phone that’s a hard one to stay away from considering I need it for my job and I use it to kill time just like now while I am having my coffee before I go to work. but I mainly limit my time on my cell phone as much as possible , I try not to make it a priority I rather get my hands into other things then sitting on my phone , so I have no problem putting it down for hours at a time , I don’t allow myself to get addicted to playing on social media apps for long periods of time , I know people that do, that watch tik tok for hours and Instagram and Facebook , I think it’s rude to do when you have company over , when I have friends over I don’t even touch my phone unless it rings but when I am by myself different story lol
Nope.
I don’t really need to since I live a fairly healthy lifestyle, eating good and physically training nearly everyday. All of the healthy stuff keeps me sane, strong, and happy or positive everyday. Also, digital technology is what I use quite a bit of when it comes to watching movies, listening to a podcast, playing video games, etc. I don’t see a need to take a break from this unless it is severely affecting your life in someway.

Yes. I work with technology as a day job and I try to go out each day for at least an hour without anything beyond my clothes, purse and wristwatch (it's an automatic). In a few minutes when i have finished breakfast my laptop will be going off until after dinner this evening.
No not really. I need my laptop for my classes bc I have to check my portal and my assignments so going completely tech-free for a while is not an option for me. I also need my phone so I can stay in contact with my family and friends. It's important to have a phone in case emergencies come up
Not as such, I do go away from tech now and then, however I work for a technology company as a Technical Product director and my house is fairly automated.
Breaks will be a couple times a year but rest of the time I live and breath tech.
Yes, I do, quite often. I don't even have any "smart" devices, just this computer I'm now writing this on (and it has Windows 7). I read a lot of books, go for long walks in the sun, play with the cat, and do a bit of window shopping. Fun :)
Substitute it with studies or reading books, and at the evening and early morning (5am) open my window to see nature for about 15-20 minutes
And this had been my routine from the day I passed my class 10th
Almost 6years...
Well yeah and that day went really good also
Basically I'm always into tech...
So a break felt good
I don't understand the question. Why would you want to stop masturbating?
Yup. I enjoy small rectangular objects called books.
I wish I could. Work needs to be able to get ahold of me at any time
I don't have a smartphone anyway so I am not really suffering from tech burnout.
On my vacation but I like to catch the the news at least to find out the activities and the weather in different parts of the country
One week per year me and some of my girlfriends would have a no clothes camping trip on a remote patch of wilderness in the mountains.
It must be more than 10 years since I went without internet for more than 12 hours.
No, because I like video games, art, science, and animation way too much to do that.
I rather restrict how I use my technology, or how often I read messages.
I wouldn't be able to, I red y computer and internet for my studies, I mean I'm going to fail anyways but I'm trying to learn stuff.
No... Because i work in IT and my hobby as well 🤷🏻♂️
I do weekends I’m on but not as much mostly when I wake up and before bed.
