Why is 4chan controversial? What is your experience with it?

It's mostly unfiltered and unmoderated, so anything could be posted there. That means it was naturally quite depraved. Lots of porn, controversial topics, etc.

No, I wouldn't say so. Most of it isn't political. Just random people liking weird shit. There's also tons of conversations about things like weed, depraved men praising dominant women, etc. Whatever fucked up thing you can think of, it's been there at some point. Try the random page /b/
