All of the above in my case. I'm a software dev so I have to test and port the software we develop among various operating systems including multiple Linux distros. I mostly use Windows though (Visual Studio still has my favorite debugger and built-in profiler).

If it wasn't for Visual Studio, I think I'd switch to Linux immediately (I tend to prefer Debian with Xfce).

Yeah, I'm an SE too. I wanted to ask what is on your personal computer. In my case, I had a similar case of wanting to have Adobe suit working but after Windows 10 started to chase users away with its annoying updates, I completely moved to Linux and kept a VM for the Abobe suite.

I got a multi-boot setup on my hardware but with Windows as my main OS. Then I have this Macbook I use for OSX ports which uses Bootcamp to boot into Windows and various Linux distros. When I'm not using my machine for work though, I tend to favor Debian.

I use Ubuntu Linux and as you might know, every Linux user feels the need to inform everyone about using Linux. The reason I use it, is that I'm doing a PhD in biophysics/computational chemistry so a lot of the software we use does not exist in Windows.

Haha, indeed I know. I use Ubuntu too. Gotten excited with the new Ubuntu 22.04 released a few days ago.

Just look on laptop or destop and see times. Same things with mobile phone or cell phone. I had a gaming laptop.

Windows 11, operating on a 7 platform. Or maybe it's the other way around? Not really pertaining to the question but I prefer Virtualbox over VMware.

I wouldn’t recommend upgrading to Windows 11. I heard it has some bugs. It’s best to wait until they fix it.
