OK, time for Poppy to go apeshit over nothing. I've just bought a new phone and typing anything is nightmare. Over the years I had added a tonnes of Welsh words to my phone but more importantly I had added lots of sweaters from mild ones like shit to one's you don't say infront of granny.
Now I've got to start all over, so apologies if I call you a stupid cont, you know what I mean.

If you were using SwiftKey, or GBoard, then all of your customizations would come over with you automatically (assuming you allowed the backup and restore as is typically done).

I've always found Apple's "we do everything automatically the Apple way to make things user friendly" to be very user UNfriendly. That's why I use Android, and SwiftKey, and why all of my custom words and spellings transfer over automatically. That's what "user-unfriendly" systems like Android can get you - stuff that works the way YOU want it to.
