the religious killings, murder, rape torture and slavery, starvation of the horn,
the war in Ukraine
the steel boot of communism on your neck in North Korea
To name a few.
They’re the same people who cry about all the homeless people and all the hungry people in the world but yet won’t invite a homeless person into their home or spend the money to feed someone they see starving in the streets.
And funnily enough a lot of the people who cry about hating America actually do quite well here finically or are the kids of people who are well off.

No nation is perfect we’re no exception but we’re pretty decent.
Why would the people who allegedly have the most to lose from racist discrimination risk not only their own death but the end of their family lines in the form of their children’s deaths to get to the United States, if any other solution any other place were even the slightest bit better? A reasonable person is not going to take those kind of risks to get to a worse situation.

There's a difference between finding flaws in a government and hating an entire nation. For example, I can think my country (USA) has flaws, but that doesn't mean I hate living here or hate my country. Some people blow things out of proportion and think just because some people have criticisms that they hate their country or their people. Hell, I've known some people to automatically default to "well you don't like it here then get the fuck out."
For people who actually think the way you describe, I'd say it has a lot to do with being stuck in the American bubble. We don't know much about world politics or world news. It's not really our fault considering our news stations barely touch on global news. It will just skim past some highlights and move on.
I also firmly believe that it's impossible to know life from another's perspective without walking around in their shoes so to speak. We can sympathize and kind of imagine what it might be like but we can't have empathy unless we've had the same personal experiences. I think that causes us to be ignorant about the realities of situations around the world.

Long waits to see doctors, time limits for medical procedures, denials for elderly, etc. Diabetes? You get ONE pair of shoes per year. Cancer? You get to wait 3 weeks to see your assigned medical provider. Heart disease? You're probably going to die soon, so that surgery is denied.

@Andres77 I don't have any official links with me, to the things she's said, but her hatred of the National Anthem has been well-documented since 2020. She made a statement that she would refuse to come out of the locker room before games as the National Anthem was being played as her form of protest about the George Floyd incident but she was a big fan of the "black national anthem" which is even more controversial and divisive. She made several statements about the people she claimed to be the "problem" but those are impossibly hard to find now unless you know where to look and I don't.
She also fought against a bill in 2017, in Texas that was trying to limit access of potential predators from claiming to be transgender, to gain access to women's bathrooms/locker rooms. Griner was in favor of allowing people access to the bathrooms of their choice, and she obviously didn't like the conservatives who were against such a thing.
And I don't know. I think you're right. Russia definitely trying to use her to get some of their prisoners released in trade. But yeah, we have people in prison in America right now for unlawful possession. Can't see why she should get a special pass for breaking the law while they sit in prison for the same crime.
