Probably 1 day for now.
We use communication apps for work daily. I also live out of country and check up on my parents.
Without those factors I could easily live w/o a phone. I used to turn off my service for over 1 month at a time. It annoyed everyone, but they all knew where I lived.
Well I grew up in Mexico and at most we had one tv and a super Nintendo back in early 1990s we worked with what me and my siblings had it was fun I never really cared much about technology. I had my first android back in 2011 I didn't even know they existed I still had flip phones. But now I'm addicted to test their potential now I have 5 android phones I can last days probably
For all the features on my phone I usually only use 5 of them. For its purpose, text, Whatsapp, camera and alarm.
Two of them I rarely use, so a week to a month.
The first cell phone I got was in '04 w/Cingular and I was 18. Today I c little toddlers using phones and tablets! I only need my phone b/c of work and my mom. I can live w/o the internet, cept u gta pay a lot of ur bills online now..

I lost my phone recently while on vacation and am still trying to recover from it. It was a phone provided by my employer because my job is such that I need to be available off hours and I use it a lot for work stuff (meetings, emails, Teams communication), but it is also my personal phone because I refuse to carry around two phones. I had to get a burner phone to use while my employer ordered a replacement, and it has been a pain in the ass. I just got my new phone yesterday and am working on getting it set up. I hope I don't lose my phone again any time soon.
I was real late getting a phone and people would always seem so shocked when I would say I don't have a phone haha and now that I do it's mainly for work but I find myself on this damn thing just as much as anybody else but I kind of despise these phones and I believe families and couples and probably any kind of relationships would be better off without phones.
About 3 years ago I spent almost 3 weeks on a tropical beach. I needed some time alone to recharge. I left instructions for my executive assistant and my oldest sister to call my hotel if an emergency arose. I turned my phone off and placed it in the room safe with my iPad. Those were 3 of the most blissful weeks I have had in years.
I have lost my phone many times. I have lived without it for upto 2 months. It is only the first 2 days that it itches you. Then you start reaizing what a bliss life becomes without this bloody curse. ONLY time you feel a bit handicapped is for driving directions IF you are not prepared.
I didn't get my first smartphone until 2016. I barely use my smartphone today; mainly only for checking emails or as a backup when my computer or internet isn't working.
And why the late ass recommendation, GAG?
Good question! I use my phone for the alarm to wake up at like 530am so I would say it's pretty important. My schedule changes often and I like to keep up with my bank account. So that's why I say a day
I use a laptop so I could go without a phone for who knows how long. Forever.
I can't stay away from my laptop for more than a day since I'm doing school literally all the time.
For the rest of my life. I really don't need it, except for potential emergencies, and I've only ever used it to make or receive phone calls and text messages (it doesn't have internet access).
I often leave mine home or forget about it, even when I take it. Such poor reception in the Rocky's, unless you are in a big city... my cell phone is just a small WIFI tablet most the time.
Probably a day.. Only cause I actually rely on the thing to wake me up and tell me when the next bus is coming.. If I wasn't going to work or the gym, I could probably last a week without it..
I only have a flip phone because I don't care about doing anything more than a regular call with it. I turn it off for days at a time anyways sometimes so I am not bothered by anyone.
I was without a phone for 7 years.
I mostly use my phone for maps and mail. For anything else I prefer using a computer.
I think computers are better optimize to create, rather than to consume.
Just did a week with sporadic service. Hunting and hiking. Phone was used for photos and time checks.
I wish I could say I could live without my phone, but my work schedule is on an app & you have to be in the app to get the schedule.
Probably longer than i think. I'd say as long as I have to go. Don't have friends anyway.
:-/
Awww same I don't really need them
Well, obviously I don't need my phone to live, so I could last forever. However, I certainly would miss having it around for a while. My internet was out the last couple of days and I was going crazy.
Longest I've gone without my phone was 5 days, during my field camp as part of Basic Military Training. Glad to be out and free again.
If I got eternal youth and life in exchange, I'm sure I could that forever.
Depends if I'm living near to everything I want. Then I can last forever. 👿
I only have a phone for work and no other reason.
As long as I have to, it's not like I'm gonna drop dead if I don't have it.
Much of my life was without a mobile phone, so not a problem to be without it.
I coild get along forever without it. I wish I didn't need it for work. I would not have it.
A while if I’m happy like when I’m with my boyfriend I’m rarely on my phone
A lifetime, I give myself 2hours of screen-time per day as it is.
You can take my phone away I think I could last a long time and do other things besides cruising the internet.
I mainly only use my phone to make and receive calls. If it wouldn’t be for that. I wouldn’t need one!
I'm mostly on my computer anyways, so I don't really care
I use my phone for almost all my communication... phone, web, text, apps, etc.
That said, given a bit of time to adjust... I'd be fine without it
I usually seemingly forget that I own a phone so I don't think it would be that big of a loss, ig the question also is, is it just a phone or technology and internet access in general?
I only recently got a phone when I turned 20
For people who suffer fm depression and anxiety like me. Tbh, phone is a life saver. So, yes, don't take my phone away fm me ever. 🤣🤣🤣
All I use my phone for is business and to play my audio books. I am in my late 40s so I remember life before cell phones and the internet.
As long as I live in a farm full of animals then I can live without it
Im addicted to my phone <3
Occasionally a full work shift.
Until I pass away, to be honest.
I'm strong minded, so... Two days? xD
Well I'd sure enjoy the peace and quiet.
a week or less
I wish we could go back to no phones.
One hour.
A week
Less than an hour
