How do I get rid of this annoying verification system?

Every time I log into my email on my lap top it says I can’t access my email until I confirm through my cell phone, that the lap top belongs to me. I’ve had days where I needed to confirm my identity over 20 times in two hours. If I get rid of the two step verification, will it fix the problem? I need to get rid of this because I don’t want to get locked out of gmail if my phone breaks down.

My university uses the system. It’s very secure, but it does have major holes in it such as the one you mentioned.

Yes, disabling the two step authentification will most likely "fix it".

Yeah, removing verification will probably solve the issue unless you added something else.

If I'm not mistaken there should be a checkbox where it says trust this computer or something along those lines.

I had that with Yahoo and it was so annoying even with Gmail.

Yes... It's because of 2 step verification.

go to settings... its a verification you have to go through settings
