Two laptops, one that is 2 years old I use mainly like applications and browsing. The other is an older laptop like 6 or 7 years old. I use it mainly for older games I have a collection I got over the years.
I have a 4-5 year old Acer Nitro. It's a gaming laptop I got it a while back as my old one was nearly dead. And I needed it for collage and well being away from home 5-6 days a week was so boring after finjshjfn work. It's slowly failing sadly but it's done good.

I have a desktop computer that I built about two years ago that I upgrade (Processor and GPU) as needed. As or now, it has an Intel I9 processor, and an Nvidia 4090 GPU. I also have a very nice Asus laptop that I use when I travel.
I think it came with 8GB standard RAM. I bumped it to 16. HDD is 256 GB if I'm not wrong. Don't remember the size. I've been using it for gaming and for my Cyber Security work which includes things like Nested Virtualisation/ Running General VMs and it has worked well for me these past couple years.
I have one 6-year-old Lenovo laptop and two 12-year-old desktops. One of them is a HP pavilion series mini-ATX machine, the other one is my brother's old gaming rig which he and one of his friend built in an Ailienware case.
there was no context to the question... it's your choice... I like computers that are easier to use. I used to program both, and built a windows computer. Macs just easier to use to me, to each their own. Macbookpro...

Go mac or go home. go old laptop, I like the ones 10yrs old, but can be limited because of OS they run.
Why do I care? Don't respond if you have an issue with me answering! By the way, I don't like Macs
