There's a number of people whose videos I watch a lot and sometimes post a comment on and, every so often, one of them will respond that they like what I said and want me to Telegram them. They give me some kind of number, I guess it's like a phone number, but I have no clue what they mean by Telegram or what the number is for or even what Telegram is (other than something like, Western Union)! I write them back via the same video to ask them what I'm supposed to do and I never hear back from them! People like, J P Sears, Paul Joseph Watson, Bill Bruford, Robert Fripp, Liberal Hivemind, Parlogram Auctions, etc.. It looks to me like I'm getting these from the actual video makers but, I recently discovered that the one from Bill Bruford 2 weeks ago was bogus!
Telegram is a Messaging app. And this is scammers technique. Don't ever give them your number or pay any attention to them. YouTube will shut them down if they give you a scammer's link, so they try to get you on a different app that has less security.

Won't happen, I don't have a YouTube account
Scams most likely. Anytime anyone wants me to go to another app it makes me think it's a scam or they're gonna try to get pics or videos from me that are scandalous. So don't ever do it.
Not that I have any accounts, I would though consider all such messages with huge suspicions and certainly wouldn't respond to any.
