Should Twitter get rid of blocking?

I also had an Anon bully me on here, and even though I was 100% sure he was bullying me in his question, GAG found nothing wrong with his question. I stand up for myself, and my opinion gets taken down.

Understand when you do report, they're not reviewed by actual people. Places like Facebook and Twitter will also take down the wrong comment and literally ban you for no reason, and yet comments telling people to end their life stay up.

We need that block button because the reporting is fucked up, and again actualpeople don't look at it.

If you get blocked by somebody it's not the end of the world. There are so many more people and groups online to join. And you don't even have to post things in the groups you're part of, you can just lurk.

Too often it’s used as a form to exclude people. Should be a reporting process that’s reviewed or something to make sure that person was actually harassing, or inappropriate, not just someone you want to avoid because they seem creepy, or you just don’t like them.

No, no site should get rid of blocking, and gag needs to make blocking work like it did before the update that messed with it. If I want to exclude someone from my social circle or discussions, I should be able to do that, having the mods decide instead of the user, is a stupid idea.

What they need to do is actually enforce their terms of service. Many times an obvious violation, for example when someone is outright threatening the Mayor of Boston gets reported and it come sback with "ThIs DiDS NoT ViOlAtE ThE TOs!1111!!11!!11!" So blocking is the other way to get them off the Internet. So no, they should not get rid of it.
