Are self-help gurus scammers?

Those are three different things, you simpleton.
There are more self help books than religious books. Sure, 80% of the content in self help is the same, and basic, easy answers. But most of peoples life problems are basic and easy answers. So really, they are looking for someone to give those in a "tone" and "story" they like.
Guru's on the other hand are in many varieties and it's not any sort of real title outside it's religious title. Anyone could go and call themselves a "guru" and there is little legal paperwork.
Scammers on the other hand need to be proven in a court of law, before they can be raked over coals. But something not being to your liking or favor does not make it a scam. As by that logic, every politician is a scammer, things get worse , not better, with them.
it's a scam because capitalism is not designed for everyone to win and succeed. it doesn't matter what route is taken but socialism isn't the answer either
there has to be a small percentage of winners and everybody else is a loser
that's why GOAT athletes in their sports are considered special and unique while everybody else is a bum compared to them
that's why billionaires are an extreme rarity and everybody else has struggles paying their bills
people can call them "scammers" but there's no better alternative. doing it the "normal" way i. e. going to school, going to college is also a scam except it's the scam that most people use

If it’s some YouTube-only weirdo without any formal education trying to sell their worthless „e-Books“, you can bet it is!
Some of them are. Some are not I suppose. I have known of situations where they were. They asked for a large commitment from their "followers" both monetary and time-wise.
Depends, ... if they "hide" the majority of "information" behind a paywall its totally a scam
I would say most are yes
